Effective retroactively to January 1, 2024, Schraner Schweiz AG, based in Oberurnen (a subsidiary of BA Holding AG), has acquired Feinschmiede Technik AG in Niederurnen due to the retirement of the owners, Mrs. Marlies Hunold and Mr. Roland Hunold.

This step has provided an excellent succession solution, ensuring the sustainable future of Feinschmiede Technik AG. The Hunold owners are pleased to have found a sustainable solution for their employees and customers. Schraner Schweiz AG looks forward to a successful integration of the company in 2024, aiming to grow and strengthen its market position in the forging industry. They extend their gratitude to all new employees and customers for their continued trust.

All ten jobs at Feinschmiede Technik AG will be retained. The Feinschmiede Technik location in Fennen Niederurnen will be closed in the medium term, with employees and some equipment being integrated into the Schraner Schweiz AG site in Oberurnen by the end of the year. The management will also be transferred to Schraner Schweiz AG by the end of 2024.

After 44 years of dedicated service at Schraner in Oberurnen, Eugen Steiger, Head of Toolmaking and Safety Officer, will be retiring at the end of July 2024.

We thank Mr. Steiger for his valuable and loyal contributions and wish him all the best and good health in his new phase of life.

At the same time, we wish his successor, Christof Holdener, a successful start and much joy in his new position as Head of Toolmaking and Safety Officer.
